Sorry again I know it has been awhile since a post

I know I haven't posted in awhile life has just been really crazy lately and not much good has happened and didn't feel like writing about the bad. I was hoping if I waited that good news would come before I had to post, but it is not looking that way. Mom is not doing good at all the dr told us her lungs are not working properly and that is why she is having swelling and breathing problems. Since last Thursday mom has been  having a really rough time, but she is a fighter I can say that she is not giving up yet!! She is back on oxygen because her levels were too low and she had really labored breathing, still trying to eat but not able to get down as much as she had been. We are not giving up about 100 times a day me and Kylee pray for a miracle to make her Grandma better, she loves her Grandma so much every time they see each other they both have smiles on their faces, and they look so much alike all the nurses keep commenting on how much she looks like her Grandma! We can not live without her she is such a special person there is no one is this world quite like Mom, she is a one of a kind!! Even when she is so sick she can barely stand it she still is thinking about everyone else but herself, she is the most loving person I know and we want more than anything to have her back to her healthy self and no more pain and suffering, she has had too much!!! So that's about all I have for tonight just keep praying is all we can do!! Kylee has been sick since Thanksgiving day her first time being sick ever, poor girl looks so pitiful, I think she is finally getting better she didn't throw up today at least, and she finally got to eat poor thing hasn't ate in 3 days!! That's all the news we have for now hopefully next time will be a happy post, we need one!!  Thanks for everyone's prayers, keep it up!!

A nice walk on the beach by our rental in Michigan

Last week we got a little time out of our busy schedule and made it down to the beach by our rental house in Michigan to check out the lake. Kylee and Lilly both love the water. Kylee loves to watch the waves, and she wishes she could walk right into the water! Here are a few pictures we took. We had to take one for Grandma since she is still sick and can't come see the beach : (   Please keep praying for mom to be able to eat everyday so she can gain weight and strength to get better! It's been awhile

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile life has just been crazy lately and I can't even find time to get everything done that I should. For those of you who don't know we are in the process of relocating to Michigan, Matt got a new job there and started Sept 20. He has been going and coming home on the weekends so I could stay and spend time with mom, but last week Kylee and I went for some of the week and are going some of this week also. I think we are going to try to do this every week until the house sells,  which is work I need to get done getting it ready to sell! I think I need 3 or maybe 4 of me! Anyway we had to move mom from the hospital, they said there was nothing else they could do for her and that the cancer had spread since the last procedure ( in 10 days it changed a lot the dr. said) The options we had were nursing home, hospice, or take her home, mom chose hospice so thats where we took her. Mom has been at hospice for 2 weeks now I think ( I could be wrong life has been crazy) Please pray that the cancer would go into remission or better yet disappear completely( hey with our God it is possible!) Mom has not really ate or drink much of anything in about a month which is obviously not good, so that is another prayer request. The nausea is so bad that it is not allowing her to eat, they have tried different medications but they just aren't working. Anyway I need to go pack for Michigan and get some sleep, thank you everyone for your prayers, calls, cards,meals, and just thoughts for our family we really appreciate it! It really makes you realize who your real friends are in the rough times, keep praying we all need it! Life is just not always easy or how you think it should be but God knows best so whatever reason he is allowing this to happen it is in his hands and that's the best place to be! I will try not to wait so long for the next update, night!

Kylee's 6 month pictures

I finally got around to posting Kylee's 6 month pictures. She was very serious this day and was refusing to smile, but I guess it shows her true personality she is a pretty serious little girl sometimes! Also a little note about mom she is having hopefully her last procedure tomorrow, just pray that everything goes well! The last two have had complications so we are hoping for this one to go smoothly with no problems, pray for mom to relax she is a little nervous after the last two and all the trauma they have put her through! Thanks for all the prayers!

     

Please Pray for mom

Well things have been rough for mom the past week.. well basically since surgery on July 27th. She is back in the hospital for the 2nd time since surgery, Dad took her in Saturday for vomiting and discomfort, not being able to keep food down. Lots has happened since then I can't explain everything it would take days and you probably would just be very confused like us ( we hear different things from different nurses and doctors all the time) Today mom had two procedures done to help take care of the vomiting hopefully so she can get to feeling better, get food down for nutrition she needs, and get her healing and healthy so we can get her the chemo treatments she needs to help stop this horrible cancer! Better yet I would love for everyone's prayers for God to make it just disappear so she doesn't have to go through anymore treatments or procedures! But, we all know it is in his hands and his decision, he knows best! Anyway just continue to pray, pray, pray! What we can hope for the most right now is that these 2 procedures and the trauma she had to go through today were worth it and help take away her discomfort! She will have at least 2 more procedures within the next 2 weeks to finish the process they started today, anyway there is so much involved it is complicated to explain in writing but I hope this is enough information to let you know she just needs prayer! Thanks!!

Kylee is 6 months old.. I can't believe it!

We waited so long to have a baby and it seemed like it was never going to happen. It finally did and now that she is here time is just flying by, I can't believe she is already half way to a year old! It is so crazy how fast they grow and change, and how much they learn. Today she started sitting up all by herself and she got her first haircut ( I just took an inch off the back so the sides and back were even) that's what happens when you have a hairstylist for a mom lol! Kylee and Lilly love to play together it is so cute, we were kinda worried that Lilly wouldn't like her (boy were we wrong) Here are some pics. I threw in some from a couple weeks ago when we went swimming at Grandpa Whan's house, she loves the pool! The big day Daddy has been talking about

Daddy has been waiting for this day.. the first Notre Dame game of the season, football is starting. So today we all had to wear our Notre Dame gear. I took advantage of the football game time and canned 13 pints of applesauce since we were just sitting around, it is yummy and Kylee loved it too! So here is our Notre Dame family pics lol, just had to post it. Oh by the way they won I think Kylee was good luck :)

We took Kylee to the zoo this is her second trip, but first one that she actually enjoyed the animals and daddy got to go this time, yay! After our zoo trip we stopped to visit grandma at the hospital. Grandma is still very nauseated and uncomfortable, just sick of being sick! Please pray that she gets a break very soon from the nausea and her body fights off this infection. We also need to pray that these small spots on her lungs aren't pneumonia and if they are that they don't get any worse because they cannot treat them right now in fear that the medication for the c diff will interact with the pneumonia medication. They have to deal with the worst of the two. Anyways just keep praying and here are some pics of the zoo.

Well I finally joined the 2010 world with a blog. I don't know how well I will do on keeping it updated or having anything interesting to write about but I will try. Right now our time is pretty well occupied trying to get Kylee's grandma better! Please keep praying for her body to heal and for God to work a miracle on taking away this awful cancer! Today dad had to take her back to the er hopefully they can figure out what is causing her to feel so bad (nausea, diarrhea) they are going to do a cat scan tonight to try to figure out what is going on. The er thought she might have pneumonia, but dr was not too sure so the cat scan should be able to tell better than the xray from er. Just pray they get all this figured out so she can work on healing and gaining strength and weight and have no more set backs!
